Zambia's general accommodation infrastructure is far from sophisticated...

Nkwali lounge...but the safari accommodations compare very favourably with the best found in Botswana and Zimbabwe - this applies as much to the lodges as it does to the seasonal bush camps and the few mobile-tented safaris that operate in the Luangwa, Kafue and Zambezi regions. 

Experience says that you're far more likely to receive better service from a remote bushcamp of 10 years standing in Zambia, Zimbabwe or Botswana than Victoria Falls Hotel, Meikles Hotel, or the Mount Nelson - of course that's comparing apples with pears...
