We offer accommodation and activities, regional flights and local transfers, individually or packaged on both the Zimbabwean and Zambian shorelines of Victoria Falls.

• These package deals below offer excellent value for money in Victoria Falls and are all valid for 2009.  Contact us for 2010 packages.  

• Each of the Zimbabwean properties (Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, Ilala Lodge and Hunter's Lodge) is located within easy reach of the Falls viewing points on either the Zambian or Zimbabwean shoreline.  

• Accommodation alternatives on the Zambian shoreline can be arranged if preferred - go to the Safari Par Excellence site for some ideas....

• The packages include sufficient activities to allow a relaxing stay and good appreciation for what is regarded as Africa's "adventure capital" - extensions and optional activities are easy to arrange either in advance or on arrival

• Day trips to Hwange can be arranged as an optional extra

• Victoria Falls is the ideal spot in which to conclude a safari in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana or Namibia.  Review some of our longer safaris that include Victoria Falls on a short stay basis.

Best time of the year

• The Falls themselves are most spectacular when in full flood in April - the spray is intense so they're best viewed from the air.  Photographic opportunities from the Rain Forest improve as the annual flood abates from May onwards.

• Game at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is consistent year round, photographic opportunities are excellent especially at dawn and dusk.  The best wildlife viewing is done in the dry season from around June through to early November in Hwange or Chobe.

• Birding is exceptional until the migrants head north in April, after that it reverts to excellent...

Best Access

• Victoria Falls is a primary hub into Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia - easily connected from regional and international airports.  We recommend the "Flights for Africa" website for planning access into Victoria Falls.

Costs

• All packages are offered on a per person sharing basis and are subject to availability.  Single supplements are available on request.

• The packages include bed and breakfast accommodation, return airport transfers (VFA), and activities as listed

• The following costs are specifically excluded from the price: domestic airfares or road transfers to and from Victoria Falls before and after the packages; all drinks, lunches, laundry, Parks fees, single supplements; any levies, taxes, surcharges and visa fees; bank charges, gratuities and purchases of a personal nature; any optional extras

Tips and notes

• There is sufficient time to include a full day trip to Chobe National Park in Botswana or a similar trip to Hwange as an optional extra - this should be arranged in advance.

• All unspecified adventure activities (rafting, bungee jumps etc.) are optional extras - they can be arranged at time of booking or on first evening of arrival 

• Dinners at the Boma and Makuwa-Kuwa restaurant that are included in the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge packages must be confirmed at least 24 hours in advance.

• Allow extra funds for lunches and drinks which are not included in the package tours. 

• Victoria Falls town has interesting shops and markets - do not be persuaded to change cash on the streets and beware of pick pockets.  Take the same sensible precautions that you would in any African tourist center.

• Alternate activities are available as a substitution for one day whitewater rafting.

• Ilala Lodge is located within a few minute's walk of the Falls and the border post.
